Municipal Election on Oct 25

Look beyond the bumper sticker policies and vote

The current mayoral campaign has been characterized by a great deal of Toronto bashing, a lot of wild promises, and a doom-and-gloom tone that is very negative.

Candidate Rob Ford has capitalized on a vein of anger and cynicism among Toronto residents by repeating some very simple messages about waste at city hall and by hinting at major tax and program cuts. His proposals require all citizens to look thoughtfully at the implications of his plans.

Here are two websites to help you. One focuses on Ford’s statements on many topics. The other calls for a change of tone and approach during the last few weeks of the campaign.

This is an important election for Toronto.

We can’t afford to ignore it.

Get out and vote on October 25.
