July 2020 Update:
On June 29 and 30, 2020, Toronto City Council adopted the following: “City Council request the Government of Ontario to repeal Limitation 2 to Ontario Regulation 130/20 of the City of Toronto Act, returning the power to regulate construction noise to the City of Toronto.“
PARA’s objections to the Province over-riding the City of Toronto Act governing the hours of operation for construction sites. Several concerns are raised regarding changing these hours from 7am-7pm, Monday through Saturday (City of Toronto) to 6am-10pm, 7 days a week, as now declared by the Province of Ontario.
