Spotlight on Local: Small businesses and green spaces help our community thrive!

SPEAKERS: Jimmy Lu of PARA and Gord Pridham of Little Italy BIA.

Jimmy Lu’s experience has spanned the breadth of sustainability, including deep energy retrofits, public policy, and now, evaluating Ontario’s electricity conservation programs. He developed the GTHA’s first detailed GHG emissions inventory and even biked across Canada in 2019. He joined PARA’s Green Committee in 2019, and is now Ward 11’s Neighbourhood Climate Action Champion.

Gord Pridham and his wife Pam own the Dish Cafe – a wonderful food emporium and cooking school that has been part of the neighbourhood for 16 years. With a background in finance and banking, Gord’s commitment to the neighbourhood continues in his role as leader with Little Italy BIA’s strategic planning process.
